Discover more about our shop and our history in the heart of Bolton. Booths Music is situated on Churchgate and has been one of Bolton’s leading musical instrument shops since 1832. It was Mr. James Booth, who is the great, great, great, great grandfather of the present owners who originally founded the store. His passion for music has been passed down through the generations and to all our expert staff and music tutors.
Since 2007, Booths has welcomed thousands of musicians through our doors for music tuition. Whether its starting from scratch or taking your musicianship to the next level, our one-to-one music lessons will inspire that next step of your journey.
Booths has been an invaluable resource to the musicians of Bolton and beyond since 1832. We feel we have some of the most experienced music tutors in the country, who are on hand for music lessons throughout the week from our town centre premises.

Conducted at our Bolton workshop, Booths Music’s instrument repair service covers everything from professional guitar setups, instrument restoration and all manner of musical instrument repairs.
